We’ve been cooking and sharing proper food since 1972, and we’re excited to take you all on the next step of our journey.

We’re splitting our Kitchen at Tebay Southbound into 5 brand new food stations: Bakery, Deli, Kitchen, Hot Sandwiches and Pie Shop.

You’ll have more choice with five independent menus each celebrating well-loved classics with some exciting new dishes, all made from scratch by us. Each menu has been carefully curated to cater for a range of tastes, as well as those with special dietary requirements.

Each of our new stations has its own tills, meaning a quicker, smoother journey from your car to your table, with everything you need in one place.

We’re proud to share our commitment to craft, so you’ll be able to watch our team of talented bakers and chefs as they freshly prepare each dish in front of you. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!

DELI

Sandwiches, salads & soups.

Open 11am – 3pm, our Deli is a lunchtime staple when looking for healthy food on the move.

A celebration of British heritage produce, including meats, freshly made focaccia sandwiches, pickles, and salads made using only British seasonal veg.

Though our colourful salads are the hero in our Deli, we’re proud to be able to offer alongside, focaccias freshly made by our team of talented bakers.

BAKERY

Great coffee, pastries and cakes.

Open from 7am each morning, at breakfast time our Bakery is home to a range of freshly baked sweet pastries, fruit pots and lighter treats. We know how important a morning coffee is so here we serve a unique blend, roasted just for us, only 21 miles away; and expertly made by our baristas.

From 11am we move to our lunch menu, where you can expect a variety of freshly baked cakes, as well as savoury and sweet pastries, including a special new-take on our well-loved sausage roll, and seasonal quiche.

KITCHEN

Roast, bakes and puddings.

The star of this station is our whole slow roasted joints of meat, sourced from our own butcher’s counter.

Open from 7am, you’ll find our freshly cooked hot breakfasts, from topped waffles to our everything-included Farmer’s breakfast.

From 11.30am we move to our lunch menu, with hearty dishes like beef shin cobbler, macaroni cheese, fish & chips and many more. Our daily roasts of ham or beef are hand-carved freshly in front of you, with the beef being from our own farm, less than 2 miles away.

HOT SANDWICHES

Hot sandwiches with proper handcut chips and homemade sauces.

At breakfast, this is where you can find our hero Cumberland sausage and bacon breakfast rolls; a great way to start the day.

Then from 11.30am, we freshly prep, grill and assemble our range of hot sandwiches with fillings including steak and lamb from our butcher’s counter, beer battered haddock, and homemade seasonal veg pakoras.

As important as the filling themselves, we’ve sourced the best ciabattas and milk rolls from local Cumbrian bakeries, and we make our own wraps and flatbreads using flour from Wildfarmed; a Cotswolds producer championing regenerative farming.

And to accompany? Our own proper skin-on chips, seasoned to perfection.
