A minute off the motorway yet secluded behind stands of mature trees.
Our Caravan Park is open for the 2024 season.
Hard-standing pitches cost £26 per night including a £3 voucher for our Farmshop & Kitchen.
Online bookings & payments only.
We regret bookings and payments can no longer be made at Tebay Services Farmshop & Kitchen.
Book in advance to avoid disappointment, using the button below.
Last-minute decision? That’s not a problem. You can check in and pay online on arrival using the link below. Once this is complete, you can find your pitch for the night. If the park is fully booked you are welcome to park at Tebay Services (see below). However, this will not include electric hook-up.
It is important you check in and pay before pitching up. The park may look quiet but because all pitches are booked online, the vacant pitches may have been booked by late arrivals.
Please note that this is an unmanned site. A warden will call in from time to time to check tickets, by checking the car registration on your booking.
Toilets and showers, including a large disabled toilet, are open 24 hours and cleaned regularly.
Facilities for caravans and motorhomes include electric hook-up to all pitches, fresh water, waste water disposal and chemical disposal.
Dogs are welcome. Please keep them on a lead in public areas.
To find the Caravan Park from the northbound M6, exit the motorway at Tebay Services and take the first left turn (signposted Caravan Park), before you reach the main building and car park.
If travelling on the southbound M6, exit the motorway at Tebay Services and take the first left turn (signposted Hotel) upon entering the car park. At the top of the hill, turn left at the T-junction and use the service road that crosses the M6. Take the first left towards Westmorland Hotel. Pass the Hotel and take a right turn, signposted Caravan Park, just before the cattle grid.
Still struggling? Email us caravans@tebayservices.com and we will help you book. Please allow 72 hours for a response.
NATURAL SETTING
Wake up to birdsong and the scent of pines. Our sheltered site is enclosed by ancient stand of Scots pines and maturing woodlands of birch, alder and evergreens. Red squirrels are regular visitors and we regularly see (and hear) great spotted woodpeckers, goldcrests and goldfinches amid our rich variety of birdlife.
CLEAN FACILITIES
Our friendly staff take great pride in keeping our showers and toilets as clean as possible. The Caravan Park is unmanned but you’ll regularly see our colleagues undertaking cleaning and maintenance. Please don’t hesitate to ask them if you require assistance.
PART OF YOUR HOLIDAY
We believe we have the only UK caravan park with direct access to and from a motorway. Yet we are also lucky to be sited between two national parks with views of the Howgill Fells and Bretherdale – a relaxing place to break a long journey or a base for exploring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
LOCAL FOOD
Don’t forget to use your £3 voucher in Tebay Services Farmshop & Kitchen, where we champion good food and local produce. We make meals from scratch as you would make them at home, and we work with more than 70 makers and growers within 30 miles.
Out-of-season parking
When the Caravan Park is full or closed, overnight parking for caravans and motorhomes is available in our main car parks.
Overnight parking costs £22 per night including a £6 voucher for our Farmshop & Kitchen.
Please be aware that there is no water, waste disposal or electric hook-up. Free 24-hour toilets and showers are available inside our main building.
Please pay for overnight parking at the Quick Kitchen in our main building. Display your ticket clearly inside your vehicle.
We recommend that motorhomes and caravans park in our picnic area at Tebay South, which can be accessed from both sides of the motorway. If travelling southbound, leave the M6 at Tebay Services and take the first left turn up the hill after entering the main car park.
To reach Tebay South from Tebay North, follow the signs to Westmorland Hotel. Continue past the Hotel and turn right. After crossing the motorway bridge take the first right turn, which will bring you into the upper level of Tebay South car park. The picnic area is on the right, halfway down the hill before the lower car park.
